Back to this book. I loved the steady reliable personality of Mae. But I did get a little irritated with John. Of course he lived a hundred plus years ago. I thought he should be more forgiving of Mae's profession but there had to be some type of conflict in the book. John just wasn't all that lovable to me. The book ended well which is how I want every story to end with. Hildie never let's us down.Product details

This was a great sequel to "Four Winds". I also liked this book very much. Wonderful storyline from another perspective. I can't wait to keep reading
Touching, tragic, heart warming, and humorous. I love how Hildie McQueen tells a story. She draws you in and holds you there.
Liked the story, nice twist and of course the happy ending. Those I always love. You'll like this one, now on to the next one LOL
This was a very enjoyable western romance story by this author. The storyline was interesting and the characters were well written. I enjoyed how the author developed all of the characters, especially the secondary characters in the story.
This was so fantastic. I was desperate for Mae's story. The author delivered. Full 5 stars. I had forgotten the enjoyment I could get from a romance story. I found myself laughing, and crying and getting frustrated at the characters. I will always read whatever story this author choses to write. Thank you for a beautiful, tasteful romance.
Since I read Where the Four Winds Collide, I've been waiting to read the sequel. It didn't disappoint. A story of second chances and hope, Westbound Awakening is full of heart and surprises. The reader is sure to be cheering for May on her journey through cowboy country as she encounters love, heartache, loss and the beauty of second chances. As for John, it's because of guys like him that I believe in cowboys.
I am sitting here after finishing this book with the "happily ever after" goofy grin. What a great story. I love this author. I love the way Hildie weaves the story around the main characters while also bringing into the story other characters that get the reader's interest. I really enjoyed the story & now I'm repeating myself still with goofy grin. This book is chock full of action & high emotions. I hope others will enjoy the story as much as I did.
